The coronavirus pandemic and subsequent shutdown of economies around the world, including the recent Shanghai lockdowns, which is responsible for 20 percent of total China's exports, have led to the supply chain crisis. In addition, a lack of truck drivers, train crews, and laborers has made it more difficult to ship goods around the world. In the US, the Section 232 Tariff on steel and aluminum might help alleviate some of the shortages.
Put simply, until the supply chain crisis has been solved, home and business owners can expect to pay more with less products being available in stock. Add to this the restricted availability of garage doors and parts, garage door repair companies, home improvement contractors and homeowners can expect the shortages and higher prices to continue for quite some time.
